Concealed wireless charging in furniture: charging through 10–18mm
Hiding the module under a tabletop is the cleanest look: no cut-out, no visible hardware. The constraint is transmission distance — standard modules cover 2–5mm, so tabletops need long-distance or high-power designs.
What decides success in this application
1. Distance decides the design
10mm+ requires long-distance modules (15–18mm) or high-power modules to compensate loss.
2. Surface material matters
Wood, acrylic and stone work. Metal-backed or metal-powder laminates block the field.
3. Public-space safety
You cannot control what users place on the table. FOD is mandatory.
4. Serviceability
Embedded modules are hard to replace. Specify for 24/7 duty and watch capacitor life.
